Thursday, November 7 and Thursday, November 14, the French Hiking Federation (FFR) of Gard came to spend the day with the two classes involved in the creation of the hiking trail A path, a school. Paul, Odile, Nadine and Jean-Pierre, volunteers and nature lovers, divided into groups to trace the route: “Between painting and stickers, children take ownership of the path by creating the symbols themselves.” For children, signage no longer holds any secrets: “The horizontal line, the cross, turning left or right, it’s easy to read.” In the morning, with Mr. Bruneau's CP-CE1 class, then in the afternoon, with Mr. Chambon's CE2, everyone enjoyed the picnic taken together in the olive grove, the horse and donkey in the enclosure and the fitness trail. The school director would like to remind: “A big thank you to the hunting association which warned all members not to come these two days, on this hunting day, to the accompanying parents to manage each small group, without forgetting this exceptional activity which ends with a path of hiking trails referenced at the national level and explanatory booklets of the route.” After November 14, the classes divided up the themes to be addressed, written and illustrated. The next stage takes the children until February when the models of the pages of the booklet must be sent to the FFR to finalize the project.
