The armed forces are in mourning… This Friday, November 15, Fanny Claudin, head marshal of the train regiment, was killed in a convoy escort mission in Lebanon.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, it was an operational mission to escort a logistical convoy between Dayr Kifa and Naqoura. Despite rapid treatment by a UNIFIL doctor, the young woman was declared dead.

Fany Claudin served in the 121st train regiment, based in Montlhéry in Essonne. She had been deployed on operations in Lebanon since the beginning of November, within UNIFIL, as part of Operation Daman. “She contributed daily to supporting the strong working for the return of peace,” indicates the Ministry of the Armed Forces.

“I associate myself with the pain of his family, his loved ones and his brothers in arms of the @121e_RT and assure them of the support of the French armies“, declared the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
