The suspense lasted a day. The twelve finalists in the competition for the best sommelier in Europe 2024 have finally discovered whether or not they are qualified for the grand final which takes place this Friday, November 15 in Belgrade, Serbia. The names of the three finalists were only revealed at the start of the final and among them, that of Pascaline Lepeltier, the French candidate already crowned with the titles of Best Sommelier of France and Best Sommelier Worker of France. Competition for the best sommelier in Europe 2024: who are the three finalist candidates?
There were twelve candidates who competed against each other during the semi-final which took place on Wednesday November 13. Thursday having been devoted to a break in this long week of tests, the names of the three finalists were only revealed this Friday at 2 p.m. during a ceremony chaired by Raimonds Tomsons, best sommelier in the world 2023. Besides the French candidate Pascaline Lepeltier who will come last, the Estonian Mikk Parre and the Lithuanian Martynas Pravilonis will also compete this afternoon to win the title of best sommelier in Europe 2024.
