French police arrested two people, after a short brawl between fans, during a football match between and Israel in the European Nations League, according to police chief Laurent Nunez on Friday.

Nunez added that the organizers were “immediately able” to contain the fight, inside the French National Stadium, yesterday evening, Thursday.

The police chief added to France 2: “There was the beginning of a fight. “We reacted aggressively, so the incident was contained very quickly.”

Nunez added that the police immediately detained one person and arrested the other after the match, with the help of a video as evidence.

Riots broke out in the Dutch capital on the 7th of this month before and after a football match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Fans of both teams participated in the riots; A number of Maccabi fans attacked a taxi and chanted anti-Arab slogans, while some men carried out hit-and-run attacks against people they thought were Jews.
