Playing for the greatest directors, the actor, who died last August, did not collaborate with a very famous filmmaker. So, to replace him, he thought of Johnny Hallyday: “I call Delon to tell him that we're not going to make the film because, when I make a film, I don't think about the money… And two seconds later, I get a phone call from Johnny who asks me: 'How are you?', and I say to him: 'Well listen, you're going to be very well because I'm going to give you a sublime role'. Thus, Claude Lelouch leaves it to fate: “Chance, at that moment, chose Johnny. My life is made up of chance, I'm not wise enough to make the right choices, so chance helps me every time.”he concludes.
