Wednesday November 20, 2024, at the Cidrerie de Rozavern, in Telgruc-sur-Mer, the elected representatives of the Community of Communes Presqu'île de Crozon-Aulne maritime (CCPCAM) and the representatives of the Center of initiative to promote agriculture and rural areas (Civam) have signed a partnership agreement, lasting three years, around the following areas of work: sustainable agriculture, access to sustainable food for all and all, the transmission and installation of agricultural activities.
The Civam du Finistère has 200 members in the department, including around twenty located in the community territory. A popular education association which brings together farmers and rural stakeholders, it strengthens the initiative capacities of farmers to keep the countryside alive. For example, the organization supported com-com in the development of its Territorial Food Project (PAT).
Agriculture occupies 38% of the surface area
In 2020, the Presqu'île-Aulne maritime territory had 148 farms. Agriculture still occupies 10,593 hectares, or 38% of the total surface area. The dominant production is oriented towards livestock farming with 24% dairy farms, 11% cattle farms, 9% poultry farms, 5% market garden farms: 24.5% of farms are in organic farming and 33 % are in a process of valorization and practice short circuits in direct sales.
Wednesday evening continued with the presentation of the study “The unfair price of our food: what are the costs for society and the planet? », carried out by Secours catholique, the Civam Network, Solidarité Paysan and the Diabetics Federation. Around forty people came to discuss the theme of public costs linked to the food system.
