Moreover, Honor's Magic V2 made a strong impression during our test, in particular for its finesse and its autonomy which is very good for this format. And if we have the third generation replaced it, the V2 is still interesting, especially now that it loses 1,100 euros of its launch price during the Black Friday preview offers.

A durable folding machine with finesse
Generally, the size of folding phones is quite imposing, but Honor has taken care to offer a very light and very thin design on its Magic V2. Its finesse is really a pleasure to see. The device does not bother when folded in a pocket, any more than another smartphone and its grip is very pleasant.
If this finesse may suggest a smaller battery, we are still entitled to a capacity of 5,000 mAh. With both folded and unfolded use of the phone, and mixing messages, navigation, listening to streaming music, a little video and video games, allow for a maximum day of use. It's quite comfortable, especially for this smartphone format. It even offers a charging power of 66 W, unfortunately the mains charger is not provided.
High level performance
In its innards, the Magic V2 can count on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 supplemented by 16 GB of RAM. While it is certainly not the most powerful on the market, it manages to beat the OnePlus Open on certain performance tests. Overall, it's smooth: applications launch quickly and animations are fluid. In game too, he is convincing. In terms of screens, both of them wow us: the calibration, the definition, the colors, it's a pleasure to use. As for the OS, we are entitled to four years of major updates.
Finally, for photography, the Magic V2 has no less than five photo sensors: a 50 Mpx main sensor, a 50 Mpx ultra-wide-angle and a 20 Mpx telephoto lens and two 16 Mpx selfie sensors. During our test, we got really nice results on the main sensor, with faithful colors and sharpness. However, there are too many chromatic aberrations and as soon as the environment lacks a little light, the lost sharpness is too great. The night mode is also passable, but it is not very convincing. Note, it lacks real resistance to dust and water.
