Once again, Olivier Giroud appears among the players called up by Didier Deschamps for Euro 2024. An appearance that the footballer would not have been able to make if Jennifer, his wife, had not been present.
Many French people have had their eyes glued to their television screens since Friday June 14. The cause ? The broadcast of Euro 2024, organized in Germany. And obviously, everyone hopes for only one thing, that the Blues make us dream once again by bringing home a new cup. For his part, Didier Deschamps seems particularly motivated to once again make football history. “We do everything to put ourselves in the best conditions”he also confided during a recent interview given to West France.
In order to give himself every chance of winning a new prize, the Blues coach called on several emblematic players, including Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud. A championship which could prove significant for the latter, since he recently spoke of his desire to retire internationally after Euro 2024.

This career Olivier Giroud would never have been able to embrace without the presence of his wife, Jennifer. In a documentary broadcast on the M6 channel in 2019, she returned to an essential choice that she had made for her husband, namely putting her career aside : “I don’t have the career I should have had but I don’t regret anything. I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy my children so I devote myself to my family. I miss work, but I enjoy my children to the fullest.” she explains.
Indeed, this mother of three children, Jade, Evan and Aaron, had studied dermatology and cosmetology. A sacrifice that Olivier Giroud salutes at every moment: “Jen, she deserves a medal too, I think. She always supported me, she was always there in the toughest times. Without her, I might not have had this success. And maybe I wouldn’t have made those choices too.”. A nice balance.
