Hospitalized, she wins the jackpot

Against all odds, Debbie Bury won the tidy sum of $100,000 (around 94,901 euros) after scratching the ticket. A real shock for this grandmother, who did not expect to hit the jackpot in these conditions.

«I collapsed (…) It was incredible. I felt like life was going to be good now,” confided the lucky winner to the television channel.

His victory also brought a moment of pure happiness in a place where we often see the opposite.

«There was an incredible eruption and people were wondering what was happening (…)“, remembers Andrea O'Hern, the nurse in charge of the hospital.

Before adding:

«It's not every day that we have happy surprises in the oncology department. Seeing this is so different from what we see every day».
