At the end of a twisty end to the match, Tunisia snatched a 3-2 victory against Madagascar in Pretoria to validate its qualification for CAN 2025.
The Eagles of Carthage are flying to CAN 2025 in Morocco. Tunisia validated its qualification for the 2025 African Cup of Nations after a thrilling match against Madagascar, Ali Abdi offering the sesame to his teammates in the final moments (3-2).

Hamza Rafia (7th), then Sayfallah Ltaief (40th) had launched Tunisia perfectly in the first period. But Madagascar came back each time: first on a ball from Tunisian goalkeeper Aman Memmiche (20th), then on a blocked shot from Ibrahim Samuel Amada (45th + 3). The Tunisian goalkeeper was judged guilty by the coach at half-time and replaced.
The Carthage Eagles spent the second period pushing without looking for a break. They thought they were living a nightmare when they were reduced to 10 after the expulsion of Wajdi Kechrida (90th) but Ali Abdi finally freed his team in the last moments (90th + 1). Madagascar will be able to bite its fingers, after having held the draw for a long time to maintain a tiny chance of qualification, now gone.
