The consumer defense association suggests that customers come together to subscribe to a group purchase from the same energy supplier, in order to reduce the bill.
“During the electricity operation last year, 130,000 subscribers participated in France and 510 families in Eure-et-Loir,” explains Jean-Paul Mallet, president of UFC-Que Choisir in the department.
“It was Octopus Énergy which was chosen and which made it possible to save €92,000 annually in Eure-et-Loir, or an average saving of €181 per household per year. Which means that we are the fourth French department, where the savings made per household are the greatest. »

17% to 22% savings
Interested consumers will have until December 31, 2024 to subscribe by connecting to the association’s website. The savings on each consumer’s gas bill will depend on the area where they live.
In France, there are six different price zones for gas. The winning offer of the call for tenders, Alterna Énergie, displays a price per kWh of gas between 17% and 22% lower than the average benchmark price for the month of November, which depends on the zone and the cooking or heating tariff option. .
Members and subscribers of UFC-Que Choisir will pay €6 administration fees, €12 for non-members. The energy check can be used.
