In the middle of the trial for the assassination of Samuel Paty, a history teacher beheaded a stone’s throw from his college in Yvelines, and more than a year after the Arras attack which cost the life of Dominique Bernard, at the high school Gambetta, we can only imagine the panic that gripped the Avion community when information concerning a possible bomb threat, coupled with a hostage taking, began to circulate concerning the Picasso high school in Avion .
First there were the high school students who had to evacuate the premises and contacted their parents as soon as they could. But also observers who witnessed the deployment of law enforcement as well as the establishment of an impressive security system and a security perimeter, some going so far as to analyze: “ Given the world today, something is definitely going on. » And indeed, the establishment did receive a call from a person announcing himself as a student who had planted a bomb and who intended to take his classmates hostage. But in reality, no bomb was planted, no intrusion deplored, nor a hostage-taking.
It was indeed a false alarm. And yet very quickly on social networks and in particular on Facebook, publications speaking “ two hooded and armed men » have been circulating. The words “ hostage taking » et « terrorists » panicked the web and above all, the parents of the children educated in this establishment. There were many of them waiting behind the ribbons to be reassured. In the end, the alert was given at 11 a.m. and at 12:15 p.m., the young people returned to the premises.
