This Thursday, November 14 around 2:30 a.m., a trash fire spread to a natural gas network box, at 7 rue Emile Drouillas in . The fire mobilized the firefighters, but it could only be contained after the intervention of technicians.

“As a precautionary measure, seven residents were taken outside the security perimeter during the intervention,” indicates GRDF in a press release, specifying that “natural gas distribution to 306 customers has been temporarily suspended. »

The damaged installation was repaired, gas distribution restarted around 9 a.m., and GRDF expected a return to normal during the day. “For the return to service, a GRDF technician will come to each customer’s home. In the event of absence, a notice will be left, inviting you to contact the GRDF teams,” indicates the operator.

At the same time, an investigation was opened and entrusted to the Territorial Crime Division of the Rennes police station. The first findings seem to confirm that the trash fire was of voluntary origin.
