DDuring the election campaign, Republican candidate Donald Trump repeatedly declared that he would resolve the war in Ukraine in “24 hours.” But he did not specify from when or give more details on how he intended to go about it… If this campaign slogan is obviously simplistic, remember that there is often a big difference between what Trump said while haranguing his troops and what he could really do as president of the United States.

On the European side, we are preparing the succession of Josep Borrell at the head of European diplomacy. “The EU must support Ukraine for as long as necessary, with as much military, financial and humanitarian aid as necessary,” Kaja Kallas, the former Estonian Prime Minister who will succeed the Catalan in early December, said on Tuesday.
