The prices of domestic fuel oil in have been falling for several days, driven by the decline in oil prices. However, this Thursday morning, they marked a slight recovery. If this increase is confirmed, fuel oil prices will begin an inverse curve.

This Thursday, November 14, ordinary fuel oil is exactly 1.108 euros per liter, according to the specialized site Prixfioul.fr. As for the superior, it is sold on average at 1.127 euros per liter. Whether for ordinary or superior fuel oil, the prices indicated on this platform are down two euros on an order of 1,000 liters compared to Wednesday, and by 4 euros compared to that of mardi.

For its part, the Fioulreduc site displays an average price of 1.103 euros per liter. On this platform, on the other hand, today's price is exactly the same as that of Wednesday. Finally, on the Fioulmarket site, domestic fuel oil is sold for 1,105 euros on average for a purchase of 1,000 liters. The observation is the same on this platform, with an unchanged price since Wednesday.

Where to find the cheapest domestic fuel oil in France this Thursday?

According to the Fioulreduc.fr platform, which compares the prices of domestic fuel oil between regions, it is in Franche-Comté that we find the cheapest price in France today, with 1,056 euros on average for a purchase of 1,000 liters. Conversely, it is in Auvergne that the price is the highest in the entire country, with 1,134 euros for an order of 1,000 liters. For comparison, the difference in prices between Franche-Comté and Auvergne amounts to 74 euros for a purchase of 1,000 liters.

To explain the drop in domestic fuel prices, we must look to the oil markets, where the price of black gold has fallen significantly in recent days, thus influencing prices in France. This Thursday, however, oil prices marked a slight recovery. If this increase is confirmed in the coming days, fuel oil prices could increase again, as happened last week.

According to the specialized site Prixdubaril, Brent from the North Sea is quoted at $72.22 this Thursday morning, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is at $68.38 per barrel. In addition to the price of black gold, the demand for fuel oil will also increase, which will have an impact on the prices applied almost everywhere in France.
