A chase occurred on Tuesday November 12, 2024, in the early evening, in the streets of the Hollerich district of Luxembourg City.

A man took all the risks to try to escape a police check, as reported by the police in one of their bulletins.

Drugged, he deliberately drives towards a police car

According to the Grand Ducal police, when the police noticed a motorist’s infraction and ordered him to stop, he began to accelerate suddenly in an attempt to escape them.

The individual multiplied the offenses, one of which was particularly notable: according to the bulletin, the man tried to rush towards a police vehicle. The police were able to prevent it at the last moment. The driver continued his journey with a damaged axle, but had to permanently interrupt his race after his car suffered further damage. He abandoned his vehicle on rue d’Alsace and was arrested shortly after by the police.

Police found that the vehicle was not properly registered and that a baton was found inside. The alcohol test was negative but the drug test was positive. The public prosecutor’s office was notified of the case, the man was presented to the investigating judge this Wednesday morning and his car was confiscated.
