A new wave of registrations is winning the social network Bluesky, to the detriment of X (formerly Twitter), its rival. And this time, the migration is so big that it could be a game-changer among microblogging platforms.

This is the number of people around the world who have created an account on Bluesky during the last week, encouraged by the election of Donald Trump in the United States and his affinities with billionaire Elon Musk, owner of the social network X.

3rd massive wave of registrations in 2 months
- In September, some 3 million new registrations were recorded on Bluesky, following the blocking of the social network X in Brazil.
- In October, an additional 1.2 million people signed up to the platform, following an update on account blocking features on X.

With more than 15 million registrations, traffic on Bluesky remains far behind its rivals X and Threads. These have respectively 619 million (according to Statista) and 275 million active accounts per month.
