The events took place since Monday November 4 in Ariège, and since this disappearance and this indictment, no body has been found.
A rave party which ends on the Guirel plateau (known as the “Plateau des Sorcières”), in the town of Biert in Ariège, this Monday, November 4. Around the rave site, a few caravans, one of which was sealed, notes La Dépêche du Midi. Since that day, Fadela, who participated in the rave, literally disappeared.
Fadela, known as Fafa, is a fifty-year-old originally from Tarn and recently living in Ariège, first staying with each other or in neighboring campsites, then in an apartment in the hamlet of Eycherboul with her partner, employed in Castres (Tarn). Known to be jovial, sociable and good-natured, she has disappeared since the rave, and the alert about her disappearance was given “around Thursday” November 7. The research undertaken by the Ariège gendarmes initially focused on an accident or a possible runaway (she could also have paid an untimely visit to her daughter who lives in Agde in Hérault). but on Saturday, November 9, they suddenly turned onto a criminal trail after the testimony of an acquaintance of Fadela saying that she felt threatened.
The trail of a former soldier in “self-sufficiency”
Enter the Toulouse research section. The investigation then follows several consistent clues which lead to a former soldier in his forties living alone in a cabin in the town of Biert, an acquaintance of Fadela who lives in survivalist mode, in “self-sufficiency” and leading “a marginal life”, according to a source close to the file, even if this man did not disdain playing pétanque with the villagers, who describe him as “very friendly”.
Indicted without having confessed, Fadela's body not found
A former soldier, however, “known for acts of violence”, specifies this same source, who adds that he was “placed in police custody […] following these revelations”. This Monday, November 11, an investigating judge from the Toulouse criminal center indicted the former soldier, although he did not confess.
Apparently the body of evidence seems sufficient to have led to this indictment, the relevance of which divides the inhabitants of the territory, even if Fadela's body has not been found to date.
So what about this sealed caravan?
