Israel: Home Front leader praises civilians’ heroism after strike on kindergarten
General Rafi Milo, commander of the Israeli Home Front, traveled to Nesher on Wednesday to visit the site of a kindergarten hit the day before by a rocket attack, alongside Mayor Roi Levi and municipal officials. During his visit, the general particularly praised the responsiveness and professionalism of the educational team during the incident. “You are an exceptional example of wartime management. Such conduct saves lives,” General Milo said, emphasizing the importance of following safety guidelines. The mayor of Nesher, Roi Levi, for his part thanked the security forces for their constant support: “You give us a feeling of security and we know that we can count on you,” he said, highlighting before the excellent coordination between the different emergency services. The authorities announced that a thorough investigation would be carried out into this incident which fortunately did not cause any casualties thanks to the speed of reaction of the staff.
