An opaque apocalypse sky, a survivalist decor of recycled containers and wood chips, elected officials and activists with features drawn from three days of emergency mobilization. An air of the end of the world floated last evening at the Le Talus educational farm (12th) where Raphaël Glucksmann’s almost impromptu meeting was held. And it is precisely about this, the risk of the end of a world, that the MEP, founder of Place publique, came to speak in Marseille. Her first public speech since the European elections and her first stop on a tour of France in support of the socialist candidates of the New Popular Front in the first constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône, where Pascaline Lécorché defends the colors of the left.

“The awakening of conscience”
Without ignoring the deep disagreements, sometimes the tears with the other components of the union of the left (read opposite), Raphaël Glucksmann defined the priorities, the emergencies: “The RN in power means the end of aid to Ukraine, the deconstruction of the European project, the sorting of patients in hospital, the end of the AME, the bollorization of the public audiovisual service . A France of hatred, of xenophobia, a France of inequality and violence.“Faced with this scenario,”the only dam is us, it’s you, it’s us“. Within the union of the left, “we have deep differences, distinct projects, a different relationship to the world, conceded the MEP, who has been targeted several times in recent weeks by attacks with anti-Semitic overtones from certain rebels. But until July 7, we have a tool and a common objective: that the RN does not win these elections.“
Pascaline Lécorché, the regional representative of the stage, who is also national secretary of Place publique, called for “resistance“, in a constituency where the RN made almost 50%, where “the Macronist candidate (Sabrina Agresti-Roubache, Editor’s note) no longer represents anything“. Pascaline Lécorché recognizes that “the fight will be difficult“but count on”the awakening of conscience“, especially among abstainers to change the scenario.
