Of Cameroonian nationality and subject to an OQTF (obligation to leave French territory), he was subject to an arrest warrant from the Évry judicial court after an attempted murder which targeted a homeless person on October 23 in Évry-Courcouronnes (Essonne).
That night, around 3:30 a.m., a homeless man in his fifties who was sleeping in front of the Évry-Courcouronnes station was attacked in his sleep. Seriously injured in the head, the victim was treated by the emergency services and taken with a life-threatening prognosis to the South-France hospital center (CHSF) in Corbeil-Essonnes. His worrying state of health requires hospitalization. Out of the woods after being placed in a coma by doctors, he was given a total incapacity for work (ITT) of 45 days.
When she was able to be heard by the police officers from SIPJ 91 (interdepartmental judicial police service), the victim from Évry-Courcouronnes said she had received a concrete block on the face. The fifty-year-old also said he saw a man fleeing.
This Tuesday, with the arrest of the man wanted after the murder of the homeless man in Lyon, the investigations carried out in Essonne took a leap forward. “The investigation made it possible to identify a suspect,” confirmed the Évry-Courcouronnes public prosecutor’s office this Wednesday. A judicial investigation was opened at the Évry judicial court on November 12, 2024 on the charge of attempted intentional homicide and an arrest warrant was issued against this individual. The execution of the arrest warrant, which is the responsibility of the investigating judge, will be considered in conjunction with the local services involved. »
