Diva down? Not quite! But it seems there is yet another one RuPaul's Dragster Race queen who says she is “leaving” drag in the past…
Lala Ri, who competed on the 13th season of the Emmy Award-winning reality drag competition and ended up winning the coveted title of Miss Congeniality, has reportedly taken a step back from performing in drag, but make no mistake no, she's still out there, performing and providing amazing entertainment to the crowds!
“Entering this new chapter has been such a crazy and exciting adventure,” said Ri, who also participated in All stars 8 last year, wrote in a caption on an Oct. 19 Instagram post where she can be seen performing her song “Bad Bitch Tip” in front of a crowd without being visibly in drag. “I may be leaving the trail behind me, but believe me, The LaLa Ri experience is still alive and well and serving! »
It therefore seems that she is specifically leaving behind him hang out An important part of her image and career, Ri is still very present and killer! As RoseNews points out that the last time Ri posted a drag look on her Instagram feed was last July, and her feed has been dominated lately with lots of (still fierce AF!) non-drag looks.
Ri is just the latest addition to many notable Course de dragsters former students who, temporarily or permanently, have taken a step back from the world of drag.
Drag racing in the UK's Krystal Versace announced her hiatus from drag last month, saying in an Instagram story post: “I just wanted to be transparent with all of you here. I'm taking a little break. This year has been intense for me in many ways and I have experienced a lot of burnout. Society doesn't encourage you to take care of your mental health, in fact, it encourages the opposite, especially in my industry. »
And Trixie Mattel, who took a few months away from the spotlight to focus on other things in her life, also just returned last October.
While we'll miss seeing Ri showcase some fierce and fun drag looks, we know this next chapter in her life will be one to watch and one we'll always be excited for, so we can't wait to see what happens next!
