The Point du Jour theater (Lyon 5th) continues its exploration of the future with a show that explores questions of ecological transition and global change. With Terminal, (the state of the world)the Portuguese company Formiga Atómica prophesies a future tinged with pragmatism, but also with hope.

It stages, in a theatrical and musical performance, other possible futures. The performances take place from November 20 to 23 and Rue89Lyon is offering its subscribers 4×2 tickets (modalities below).

With Terminal, (the state of the world)Point du Jour explores a future where hope finds its place

The detailed pitch of the show:

What can theater do when everything burns?

The Portuguese company Formiga Atómica invites us to look at the state of the world eye to eye. Artists associated with the Point du Jour theater (Lyon 5th), Inês Barahona and Miguel Fragata started from interviews with residents of the 5th arrondissement of Lyon to resolve the ecological impasse and the climate anxiety in which we are and offer new horizons through imagination. Because the pair cultivates optimism as a narrative weapon.

Presented as a French premiere at the IN Festival this summer, Terminal (The State of the World) puts a double meaning on the track: the end of the world certainly but also our collective connections as a solution to the worst. In a symbolic universe invaded by roots, actors and musicians put together ideas and attempts to emerge from the crisis, working hand in hand to delay the end and cross the doors to the future. A mythological and political dystopia that oscillates between urgency and hope.
