Tonight (4 a.m.), Klay Thompson will face the Golden State Warriors for the first time in his career. A real event, since the rear spent thirteen years in the Bay. Thirteen successful years, but which the new Dallas player seems to have put aside, as evidenced by his latest statements about tonight's match.
How to place Klay Thompson in the history of the Warriors? If this is another debate, here are still some elements of answers. Eleven seasons (in 13 years), four NBA championship titles, five All-Star Games played, historic matches, and perhaps the most memorable backour of all time. And again, this is only a small part of Klay Thompson's accomplishments in the Golden State jersey, since making an exhaustive list would probably take us a whole day. Still, in the Bay, it's difficult to make a greater legend than Killa Klay.
So to honor their former sniper, the Warriors planned to do things big. A vibrant tribute should be paid to him, and the moment already promises to be moving. For Warriors fans, anyway. Because obviously, Klay sees things a little differently. According to the Dallas Mavericks guard, his return to Chase Center is a regular season game like any other.
“It'll be good to see people that I've given a lot to over the years, obviously. But for me it's just another regular season game in November. It has extra meaning with the NBA Cup, it would be fun to play for that title.”
Uh…

Warriors fans will appreciate… He may have been an essential cog in one of the greatest dynasties of all time, Klay Thompson obviously plans not to get emotionaleven if he says he is happy to find people with whom he spent so much time. Klay is focused and will aim for victory at Chase Center. An In-Season Tournament match, you don't cry, you win.
