A fight took place this Tuesday morning around 5 a.m. in Square Jacques Franck in Saint-Gilles. According to our information, two men had an argument, and one of them stabbed the other. The affected individual was able to drag himself several meters before collapsing. He is currently in the hospital.
A tent was set up by the scientific and judicial police this morning, before being removed so as not to “scare the population”. The prosecution was informed of the facts.
This Tuesday, at the beginning of the afternoon, the police in the Brussels-North zone confirmed that two people were injured with knives in Schaerbeek and Saint-Gilles, during the night from Monday to Tuesday.
The first incident took place on Tuesday around 2 a.m. on rue des Plantes in Schaerbeek. A police patrol was called to the scene for a person who had suffered a knife wound to the forearm. The victim was treated by emergency services, and they were able to determine that it was not a serious injury. The victim’s life was therefore not in danger. An investigation is underway.
Three hours later, around 5:00 a.m., the Brussels-Midi police zone received a call concerning an injured person near Square Jacques Franck in Saint-Gilles. On site, the police discovered a person suffering from a knife wound. The victim was taken to hospital. An investigation is also underway into this second fact.
