Météo-France places the Bouches-du-Rhône department on yellow alert with the weather situation to monitor for rain-flooding this Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 7 a.m.
The Météo France bulletin :
During the morning of this Tuesday, slow storms formed at sea and brought rain to nearby coastlines. The intensities are of the order of 20-30mm/h in an East13 and West83 coastal zone and can last several hours.
During the afternoon, the high intensities shift offshore and the rain loses intensity over a large part of the region. They end up stopping during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
For the entire event, the expected cumulative rainfall is 15-30mm and up to 50-80mm possible in places between East Coast 13 and West Coast 83.
Faced with the risks associated with this alert, the prefect of Bouches-du-Rhône reiterates the precautionary instructions:
– Limit your movements.
– Do not walk or drive on a road that is even partially submerged.
– Do not approach watercourses or areas usually flooded.
– Do not go down into basements or cellars.
