A large crowd gathered around the war memorial for the commemoration of November 11 in Pamiers. The ceremony took place in the presence of Simon Bertoux, prefect of Ariège, Laurent Panifous, deputy, Kamel Chibli, vice-president of the region, Frédérique Thiennot, mayor of Pamiers, departmental councilors, representatives of civil authorities and soldiers, children from Cazalé and Carmes schools, as well as veterans. “November 11, the day we honor those who died for us is the day of our national dignity, our common and intangible heritage,” said the mayor of Pamiers during her speech. “Death will never have finished its harvest. We learn no lessons from our memory but to remember is our honor.”

After the school singing, the reading of the message from the French Union of Associations of War Fighters and War Victims, the message from the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs, the deposition wreaths and the national anthem, pigeons were released.
