Foot/Euro-2024: France with Saliba and Rabiot against Austria
The France team will start its Euro-2024 against Austria with William Saliba in central defense alongside Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot in midfield this Monday (9:00 p.m.) in Düsseldorf.
Saliba was preferred in the axis of defense to Ibrahima Konaté, the player most often associated with Upamecano since the 2022 World Cup. Rabiot, who has not played a match since May 20 due to muscle pain and calf discomfort, starts in place of Youssouf Fofana, who played in preparation matches.
The former Parisian is associated with N’Golo Kanté.
Captain Kylian Mbappé is at the center of the attack with Ousmane Dembélé on the right and Marcus Thuram on the left.
