While he fights this Saturday against Stipe Miocic, Jon Jones settles scores with the latter and Magomed Ankalaev.
Jon Jones is back this weekend! He will face Stipe Miocic in main event of UFC 310, for the first defense of his heavyweight title. A few days before the fight, 'Bones' seems confident. Since the announcement of his fight against Stipe Miocic, no apparent tension seemed to exist between the two fighters. But this is no longer the case. Indeed, during a video filmed with the UFC, Stipe Miocic called Jones a “bitch”. A statement that did not please the champion at all, who was quick to settle scores with his next opponent on Instagram:
“Hiring black fighters to imitate me won't help you, Stipe. And you shouldn't have called me a bitch, the disrespect wasn't necessary. Let’s play.”
Magomed Ankalaev also taken over by Jones
Stipe Miocic is warned, but is not the only one! Indeed, another fighter was critical of Jon Jones. This is Magomed Ankalaev, who plays in light heavyweightthe old category dominated by 'Bones'. The Russian fighter accused him of being afraid of Tom Aspinall. Other personalities think that Jones is fleeing Tom Aspinall, like Daniel Cormier for example. However, for 'Bones' former rival it's not fear. Although he was unmoved by fan criticism on the matter, he didn't seem to appreciate Ankalaev's remark:
“Jealousy of Magomed will not earn you legendary status, my friend. Train harder, hate less. Do you really want to insult me? Beat a few of my records first. Let’s get started.”
A few days before his fight against Stipe Miocic, Jon Jones decided to settle all his scores.
