The Music stars were present this Sunday evening in Manchester, on the stage of the sublime Co-op Live recently inaugurated, on the occasion of the MTV European Music Awards 2024. Impeccable mistress of ceremonies, Rita Ora provided entertainment for the evening in a futuristic outfit that revealed a large amount of flesh. As for Jodie Turner-Smithit was in a low-cut black dress that she presented an award. Among the other stars present, the South African singer Silence caused a sensation in a sublime turquoise and black low-cut dress. Thissta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Peso Pluma, Teddy Swims, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Gavin Rossdale and many more were also on stage or in the room.
It’s the American Benson Boone which opened an electric night, before collecting its prize for “Best revelation of the year”. Very fit, the singer of Beautiful Things jumped on a piano before belting out impressive notes in an angelic all-white outfit.
In the evening’s rankings, it’s an (almost) full hit for Taylor Swiftwho “leaves” – so to speak, she was not present in Manchester due to touring – with four awards: “Best artist of the year”, “Best tour of the year” with the Eras Tour, “ Best Album of the Year” for The Tortured Poets Department, and finally “Best video of the year” for the clip Fortnight. In a pre-recorded message, the star shared her “sadness” at not being able to attend. “The fact that you won the tour, the album and the video, it’s just incredible,” she thanked in front of a room full of shouts and applause.

Nominated in seven categories, Taylor Swift still left a few crumbs for her competitors, since it is Ariana Grande who won one of the most coveted categories: “Best Pop Artist of the Year”. As for “Best song of the year”, it goes to Sabrina Carpenter for his song Espresso. In the “French artist of the year” category, Aya Nakamura bowed to Pierre Garnierone of the former students of the Star Academy.
