Daniel Woirin, the ex-coach of Benoît , spoke again about his former student. He commented on his new comic book.

During the year 2024, Benoît Saint Denis separated from his flagship coach, Daniel Woirin. And according to the coach, the two men are on bad terms… And this breakup is linked to a money problem. Since this episode, the native of Nîmes has refocused on himself, training in and remaining alongside his loved ones, with a new team around him. But in main event of UFC 3 on September 28, he lost by TKO to Renato Moicano. By analyzing this setback, Daniel Woirin also questioned the Frenchman's preparation for this fight.

On September 25, Benoît Saint Denis released his autobiographical comic book entitled “God of War”, like his nickname. In this book, the former soldier retraces his life as a fighter, and his journey in MMA up to his exploits in the UFC. But a key character in the rise of BSD seems to be missing in this comic. Indeed, his former coach, Daniel Woirin, is not represented in the drawings in this book. Thus, the latter spoke on the show The Fine Team on the YouTube channel GONG – Gi Or No Gi. He denounces a “lie”, and feels boycotted or even censored.

« I quickly looked through Benoît's comic, and at one point it talks about UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden. There is a drawing where we see his manager Giom Peltier in his corner, shouting: “No fight!” “. But in New York he wasn't even there, there was no bald guy in my area! There is a lie there! My sentences are stolen from me, and I have the impression that it's more Giom the coach than me in this comic. There is an error » underlined the coach who trained Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida.

Thus, Woirin has the feeling of being the victim of a lack of recognition after all these years spent alongside the 'God of War'.

What do you think of this statement from Daniel Woirin? Have you read the comic strip by Benoît Saint Denis?
