BABA-HIBAPRESS-RABAT

Yesterday, Sunday, November 10, 2024, the funeral of the late Hassan Akesbi, our national football legend who devoted his life to national football, especially within the FUS and the National Team since the 1960s, took place at the Achouhada cemetery in Rabat.

What was touching in these moments of contemplation was the flagrant absence of a representative of the FRMF at this painful event of a man who consecrated and defended the National Colors at a most difficult moment or our Lions of the Atlas greatly needed support and input to better represent the country and Akesbi had left French glory behind him to respond favorably to the call for the National Jersey and ultimately no representative of Lakjaà deigned to make the trip to cemetery for show that the FRMF is with the citizens who one day brought honor to the Kingdom of Morocco. Certainly Maqrouf has never missed the slightest opportunity if it is a journalist but Lakjaà should think about coming personally or delegating one of his deputies… unfortunately nothing happened and it is a shame, unacceptable and unbearable!!!

We cannot go back in time to tell the story of this above all good-natured, modest, altruistic, helpful man with a heart like that… that everyone from here and elsewhere who praises the kindness of the late Hassan who only has friends all over the world because he was famous intentionally

Akesbi was both a legendary player and a humble educator who discovered excellent talents including Aziz Bouderbala

Today, we can only pray for the late Hassan who we will seriously miss because we were often in contact with him and, on the occasion, we offer a real congratulations in particular to the other great figure of national football Si Mohamed Arrouba of the FUS who was an inseparable friend and brother of Hassan during his lifetime in addition to all the “fusists” of yesteryear who always worked closely with him continuously where Hassan had forever found his ease

We cannot forget the Press present with all its weight with Zadok, Benchrif, El Moutaouakkil president of the Alliance of Moroccan Journalists, HIBAPRESS…

So yesterday, a large audience was present at his funeral, naturally all the former FUS players without exception from the goalkeeper Fettah to the winger Labied and others who came after them, almost all the former Stadistes Robio, Azzouz, Ramdan…and among others ex internationals with the other legendary captain of the Atlas Lions Noureddine Naybet, Aziz Bouderbala, Krimau, Mohamed Aziz Samadi, the former best No. 10 of Morocco after Bamouss Driss Ouaddich, the best scorer of all time after the late Akesbi Mohamed El Boussati, Aziz El Khayati but also a former FUS coach who was a real admirer of the late Hassan Akesbi M. Belàyachi Najmeddine who enjoys great respect among all Moroccans

On our part, we extend our sincere condolences to the entire family of the late Hassan Akesbi, especially his son Hicham.

May ALLAH have the deceased in His Holy Mercy. We are to ALLAH and to Him we return
