This Sunday, the alert was given. The Russians gathered 50,000 soldiers around Koursk. A Russian region into which Ukraine made a surprise incursion last August. A breakthrough in a highly symbolic city, where the Red Army won one of its greatest victories of the Second World War.

1,500 men per day

The Russians have certainly retaken part of the territory won by Ukraine, but without having launched a massive attack according to specialists cited by the New York Times. The Kremlin has massed 50,000 troops there, including North Korean soldiers. The attack would be imminent.

This alert comes as the Russians are still suffering heavy losses on the front. According to the Ukrainians, the month of October proved to be the deadliest for the Russians since the beginning of the invasion with more than 1,500 men per day. A trend that is confirmed. Indeed, Kyiv claims that the Russians lost 1,770 men in combat this Sunday, November 10. This is the highest daily result since the start of the conflict. A total which surpasses that recorded on May 13 (1,740).
