At least 23 people were killed on Sunday, November 10, in an Israeli strike targeting a Shiite town located in a predominantly Christian region north of Beirut, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said.
“The Israeli enemy’s raid targeting Aalmat, in the Jbeil region, left 23 dead, including three children, and six injured”according to a report revised upwards by the ministry, which added that searches in the rubble continued.
Bombings were also reported in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Civil Defense of the enclave, led by Hamas, announced the deaths of 30 people, including 13 children, killed in two Israeli airstrikes on two separate houses in the Gaza Strip. A first strike made “at least” 25 dead, “including 13 children”in a family home in Jabaliain northern Gaza, and “more than 30 injured” early in the morning, civil defense said. Palestinian emergency services also reported another Israeli strike on a house in the al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City, which left five people dead and others missing. “A number of civilians are still under the rubble”they clarified.
The Israeli army had no immediate comment. For the past month, Israeli forces have largely surrounded and isolated Jabalia and the neighboring towns of Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun, allowing only a trickle of humanitarian aid to pass through. Hundreds of people have been killed since the offensive began on October 6, and tens of thousands have fled to neighboring Gaza City.
In Western Galileearound fifteen rockets fired from Lebanon left 3 people injured. The Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya said the victims arrived at the hospital after being injured by a strike in the Kibbutz Kabri area, close to the Arab village of Sheikh Dannun.

Since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, the Israeli offensive has killed more than 43,000 Palestinians, according to local authorities who do not distinguish between civilians and militants in their count. They also claim that more than half of the victims were women and children.
Israeli bombings and ground invasions have left large areas of Gaza in ruins and displaced around 90% of the population of 2.3 million, often multiple times. Hundreds of thousands of people live in overcrowded tent camps where public services are few or non-existent, and it is unclear when they will be able to return home or rebuild.
The Qatar confirmed on Saturday that it had suspended its mediation for a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip until Palestinian Hamas and Israel demonstrate “will and seriousness” in the negotiations. Along with the United States and Egypt, Qatar had participated for months in mediation efforts to end the devastating war in the Gaza Strip.
