– LOSC : Fernandez brilliant, Zhegrova absent

At the end of a match full of twists and turns, and LOSC neutralized each other (2-2) despite prominent individuals. From 3 to 7, discover our notes after this match on the 11th day of Ligue 1.

Man of the match

For his first start in Ligue 1, Matias Fernandez (7) may have demonstrated that he was more than just a substitute. Positioned on the left flank of the attack, the 19-year-old player proved untenable by using his quality of speed, dribbling but above all percussion, on several occasions leaving Jonathan Clauss and Youssouf Ndayishimiye completely immobile. The first goal of the Mastiffs is a perfect testimony to this: Alexsandro throws it deep, then with a thrust, the winger magnificently drops the Nice defender before placing a powerful strike at the near post which surprises Marcin Bulka (0-1 , 17′)

To confirm his great performance, he is also at the origin of Lille’s second goal thanks to enormous work on his left side to find Benjamin André in the area. He finds the post, but the ball comes back to him, he shifts Mitchel Bakker who then finds the net. The former Gantoise player will come out in the 79th minute replaced by the Swede Gabriel Gudmundsson Gudmundsson.

The satisfactions

Preferred over Gudmundsson for the left defender position, Mitchell Bakker (6) delivered a fairly solid performance against a Mohamed-Ali Cho lacking inspiration. The Dutchman even distinguished himself offensively with his second goal of the season (1-2, 66′) following a powerful strike, coming from an intelligent pass from Benjamin André in the penalty area.

Decisive passer, Benjamin Andrew (6) once again played a complete game. A true jack-of-all-trades for this LOSC, the captain was both dangerous offensively and solid defensively, as evidenced by his eight recovered balls. His 81% of successful passes also testify to the technical accuracy that the Frenchman demonstrated during this meeting.

Alexsandro (6) also produced a solid performance. Positioned alongside Bafodé Diakité in what seems to be the “typical” central defense, the Brazilian perfectly controlled Evann Guessand, who, on several occasions, had to drop lower to touch balls. Much more technically skilled than usual, he distinguished himself with a decisive pass to Fernandez (17′) with a deep pass along the left flank.

The disappointments

Hard not to name Edon Zhegrova (3), who completely missed his match. Not helped by a solid but very defensive Aïssa Mandi (5) as usual, and a midfielder with a slight lack of creativity, the Kosovar sometimes found himself completely alone on his right side. His fourteen lost balls are the perfect demonstration of this. Frustrated and annoyed by his match, he left in the 79th minute, replaced by Rémy Cabella.

Aligned in midfield alongside Benjamin André and Ngal’ayel Mukau (6), Ayyoub Bouaddi (4) showed himself to be a little below his teammates. Struggling under pressure from the Nice midfielder, the 17-year-old midfielder lost a number of dangerous balls which could have led to a Nice goal. With a total of eight lost balls, he will come out in the 67th, replaced by a much more creative Angel Gomes but author of the mistake which leads LOSC to its loss at the end of the match.
