The president will support the French team on Thursday against Israel, while this League of Nations match promises to be high risk due to the tense climate after the violence that occurred in Amsterdam this week.

Emmanuel Macron will be in the stands for the tense match between and Israel on Thursday, November 14 at the Stade de France, we have learned Le Figaro confirming information from RTL. The head of state wishes “show his full support for the France team, as he does in every match”explained the president's entourage.

The latter wishes, moreover, “send a message of fraternity and solidarity after the intolerable anti-Semitic acts which followed the match in Amsterdam this week”. As a reminder, supporters of the Israeli football club Maccabi Tel-Aviv were violently attacked by groups of individuals in the streets of the Dutch capital, during the night from Thursday to Friday. Five supporters were briefly hospitalized and around sixty people arrested.

The France-Israel match – within the framework of the League of Nations – will therefore be held in a climate “high risk”warned Laurent Nuñez, the police prefect, this Sunday on the BFMTV set. A total of 4,000 police and gendarmes will be mobilized on Thursday to avoid any overflow.
