Gabriel Attal revealed the main lines of the majority’s program Saturday June 15 in the evening, in the 8 p.m. news on France 2. He also spoke in the regional daily press this morning, two weeks before the legislative elections.
“Earn more, spend less,” summarizes the Prime Minister. Earn more with the Macron bonus paid by companies: Gabriel Attal wants raise its ceiling from 6,000 to 10,000 euros and allow it to be paid monthly. However, nothing obliges the company to play the game.
Spend less, then: he promises a 15% reduction on electricity bills in February. Even if this reduction is in reality automatic. Same number: -15% on the price of school supplies, thanks to group purchases. The tenant of Matignon also mentions complementary public health for those who do not have mutual insurance. It would cost one euro per day. It remains to be seen what it would cover.
Furthermore, Gabriel Attal wants to exempt from notary fees those who buy their first home, up to 250,000 euros. Still on real estate, he wants to create a fund to help the middle class renovate housing. He wants to finance this fund by taxing share buybacks by large groups.
