There were 5,000 demonstrators on site according to the CGT, 2,000 according to the police. The demonstration took place peacefully. Upon arrival at Place Stanislas, anti-fascist demonstrators wanting to approach the prefecture found themselves facing a CRS cordon and were dispersed without violence, according to France Bleu Lorraine.
In Lille, 4,000 people marched according to the prefecture, more than 10,000 according to the unions. In Bordeaux, there were 30,000 according to the inter-union association, 6,800 according to the authorities. In Clermont-Ferrand, between 2,600 (prefecture) and 5,000 people (unions) demonstrated. In Puy-en-Velay, there were 580 according to the prefecture.
In Rennes, opponents of the far right, 25,000 according to the organizers, 12,000 according to the prefecture, joined the Pride March, where rainbow and Palestinian flags were mixed, and where one could notably read among the signs “more gouinouz, less ceniouz”. In Marseille, 11,700 people, according to the police headquarters, marched in a festive atmosphere between the Old Port and the entrance to the port of France’s second city. In Lyon, the demonstration is planned for Sunday.
