We cannot talk about the actor Gérard Jugnot without associating him with his former accomplices from the Splendid troupe, among whom we can cite Christian Clavier, Josiane Balasko, Thierry Lhermite and Marie-Anne Chazel, among others, made famous in the years 1970 thanks to the film adaptation The Bronzed (1978). Guest on the show C the weeklybroadcast on France 5 and presented by Aurélie Casse, this Saturday, November 9, the 73-year-old actor, who became a producer, director and screenwriter, recounted how he announced the death of Michel Blanc (who died on October 3), the actor and director with whom he joined the famous troupe of artists on the Web.
“It was you who informed us of his death on social networks. You wrote: 'Michel, what have you done to us?'”recalled the France 5 presenter on the set of the show. Gérard Jugnot explained: “Well yes. It was Josiane who called me. We followed the adventures of his multiple heart attacks a little. And in the evening he left.” A sequence showing Michel Blanc describing the start of his friendship with Gérard Jugnot was then broadcast.

Interviewed by Bernard Montiel, as part of his show 1 hour with…broadcast this November 9 on RFM, Gérard Jugnot spoke about his meeting at college with Michel Blanc. The host questioned him as follows: “Did you make fun of the teachers back then?” “Yes, I met him in fourth grade, we hadn't seen each other much for a while, (…) but when we met again, like for the cover of Paris Match [en avril dernier, ndlr]we laughed like idiots!”replied the actor. He then added: “It’s a whole part of our life that is changing, because it’s fifty years of friendship… What can I say… except that it’s a little early…”
