Russia claimed this Sunday the conquest of a new village in the Ukrainian region of Donetsk (east of the country), where its army has been progressing more quickly in recent weeks against kyiv troops lacking personnel and equipment.
“Units of the Center armed group liberated the town of Volchenka,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement. This locality is located approximately 5 km from the industrial town of Kourakhové.

At the same time, Ukraine was targeted during the night from Saturday to Sunday by an attack by 145 Russian drones, a “record”, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a message on X.

In a statement, the Ukrainian Air Force said that, as of 9:30 a.m. (07:30 GMT), 62 of these 145 drones had been neutralized over 13 regions of the country.
