Peugeot is opening orders for the new generation, which offers a plug-in hybrid engine and an electric motor eligible for the ecological bonus.
A few months after the new 3008, Peugeot is putting its big brother, the 5008, on sale. As soon as orders open, the Lion 7-seater SUV is available with a mild hybrid unit (136 hp), a plug-in hybrid unit and a electric.
The plug-in hybrid combines a 1.6 petrol engine of 150 hp and an electric unit of 125 hp, the maximum cumulative power being 195 hp. This variant has a 17.8 kWh battery, giving it a combined cycle electric range of 82 km. The 60 liter fuel tank allows you to have a good total autonomy.
For the 100% electric version, we have a 157 kW motor, or 210 hp. The battery has a capacity of 73 kWh. Peugeot announces a combined cycle autonomy of 502 km. As a reminder, even in electric mode, the 5008 has 7 seats. The maximum DC charging power is 160 kW.
A version with a large 98 kWh battery will arrive later.
