The 11th day of Challenger Pro League continued this Saturday with a complicated trip for the Francs Borains.
Beveren – Francs Borains
The RFB traveled to Freethiel to challenge an ailing Beveren, who remained in six consecutive games without a victory as well as a defeat in the Belgian Cup. Badly off, the Borains also needed points in order to leave the red zone.
The kick-off was given by Jean-Marie Pfaff who received a tribute from the entire stadium for his entry into the Hall of Fame. And the presence of the legend seems to have brought them luck in Beveren who crushed the RFB. Michiwaki (9th), Kerrigan (34th), Servais (39th) and Dassy (54th) are the scorers who allow Beveren to give themselves some breathing room at the bottom of the table and push the Francs Borains a little further.
Lommel – Deinze
Diego Rosa (3rd) quickly opened the scoring for Lommel, Daci from the penalty spot equalized on the hour mark. The two teams remain 4th and 5th respectively in the standings and are one point apart.
Genk II – Club NXT
Earlier in the afternoon, the young Blauw & Zwart won the away game at Genk.
Liam De Smet opened the scoring after half an hour, but the Limburgers got back into the game thanks to Wilson Da Costa (47th). The winning goal was scored by Benjamin Faraas (71st). The latter allows Bruges to recover after two matches without victories and to push Genk a little further into crisis with a fourth consecutive defeat.
