The Laval University Rouge et Or defeated the Montreal University Carabins by a score of 22 to 17, Saturday afternoon, at the end of another hard-fought Dunsmore Cup final.
It was a three-yard run by William Tremblay in the fourth quarter that made the difference in this game.
The Carabins fought until the end, and Jonathan Sénécal found Simon Riopel to reduce the gap to five points late in the match, but time ran out.
Université Montréal had a 10-5 lead after a defensive first half, but the Rouge et Or attack got going in the second half of the match.
Early in the third quarter, a touchdown from star receiver Olivier Cool, left alone, allowed Glen Constantin’s men to turn the tide.
