The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) has opened an investigation into the fire of three semi-trailers in the Saint-Laurent borough.

Around 4:35 a.m. Saturday, a 911 call was received reporting at least three semi-trailers on fire in a private parking lot on Cypihot Street, not far from Douglas-B.-Floreani Street.

When the police arrived, firefighters had already brought the fire under control.

No injuries have been reported and the fire has not spread to the property, indicates the spokesperson for the SPVM Jean-Pierre Brabant.

He adds that no criminal element was found at the scene, but firefighters concluded that it was a fire of suspicious origin.

Investigators from the arson section of the SPVM were called to the scene to analyze the scene.
