The 7th edition of The Golden Spoonan all-female culinary competition founded in 2010 by Marie Sauce-Bourreau, crowned its winners after two days of intense competition!
This unique event took place on November 6 and 7, 2024 at the Chocolate Academy France and at the EquipHotel Show in Paris. Designed to highlight female talents in cooking and pastry, this competition has proven to be a springboard for professionals and amateurs in search of recognition.
The winners of this edition
In category Professional KitchenSandrine Leriche from Sodexo Prestige won the trophy, followed by Larissa Rajaonarivrelo, self-entrepreneur from Reunion Island, and Andriana Efstratiou from the Four Seasons Hotel in Cyprus.
>> The Special Cohesion Prize was awarded to Dragana Cvejic from the Ferrandi Paris school, highlighting the solidarity and team spirit within this edition.
In category Amateur CookingMilena Pecho from Paris stood out, accompanied on the podium by Béatrice Berger Turpin and Martine Desfaudais, demonstrating the diversity and dynamism of the participants from all backgrounds.
Pastry side, Tinh Tran from the Brasserie Les Haras in Strasbourg distinguished itself in the category Professional Pastrywhile Well done Esposito won the category Amateur Pastry with a remarkable performance. Hélène Mao and Émilie Gonin also shone, representing the excellence of the pastry professions.
Reveal talents and raise awareness
The competition challenged the candidates with original themes: “We are not pies“for the Pastry Trophy and”We are not quiches” for the Cuisine Trophy.
The participants had 2.5 hours to create their creations in front of a prestigious jury chaired by Nina Métayer for pastry and Ghislaine Arabian for cooking. This rigorous framework made it possible to reveal the technical and creative talents of the candidates, essential skills in the catering professions.
A renowned jury to promote the candidates
The jury, made up of recognized chefs and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (MOF), was representative of French gastronomic excellence. With personalities like Christophe Raoux (MOF and honorary president of the trophies), Matthieu Godefroy of Cacao Barry, and Philippe Urraca, the participants had the opportunity to present their creations in front of passionate experts committed to supporting the next generation of women.
