Israel is walking on two legs: after purchasing 25 additional F-35s in June 2024, here comes exactly the same number of F-15EX! ©Boeing
The Jewish state appreciates Boeing's fighter bomber and takes over 25 more. This is the first export sale for this new generation of F-15.
The F-15 first flew in 1972 and 52 years later it continues to appeal to a user considered one of the most demanding in the world. Israel currently has a total of 66 first generation Eagles: F-15A, F-15C and F-15I.
Already called F-15IA (for Israel Advanced), the future aircraft will undoubtedly be distinguished from other F-15EXs by its avionics made in Israel and undoubtedly different performances. We are thinking in particular of increased autonomy, the Hebrew state not making as systematic use of in-flight refueling as the Americans. The first deliveries are expected for 2031.
