Aude and Hérault are placed in orange for the risk of storms, rain and flooding. The vigilance, which begins at 6 p.m. this Friday, extends until Saturday.
This Friday, three departments are in yellow. Haute-Corse is on alert for thunderstorms, rain and floods, Gard and the Pyrénées-Orientales only for the risk of thunderstorms.
This Saturday, the list of departments in yellow is growing:
- Bouches-du-Rhône: thunderstorms
- Corsica-du-Sud: thunderstorms
- Upper Corsica: thunderstorms, rain-flooding

Grayness this Friday
The gray weather will mainly affect the north of the Loire and the Saône Valley this Friday afternoon. In the south of France, the sun remains in place.
On the Gulf of Lion, maritime inlets bring rain to Languedoc-Roussillon. They can be quite intense from the evening onwards in Languedoc in particular and be accompanied by storms.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected late in the day and overnight in Corsica, Provence and Aquitaine.
“The maximums do not exceed 8 to 12 degrees from Normandy to Alsace Lorraine, 12 to 16 degrees in the North-West. Further south, we expect between 18 and 23 degrees,” warns Météo France.
Gloomy weather this Saturday
The north of the country will still be gray, with fog this Saturday. Clouds will dominate over a large part of France.
In the south, the weather is rainy. Showers follow one another in the southwest and are accompanied by thunderstorms at times. The rains are more sustained in the Basque country.
Some clearings could brighten up this first day of the weekend, particularly in Languedoc-Roussillon and from Lorraine to Burgundy.
Corsica will still be affected by stormy showers, particularly in the east.
“The minimums are between 3 and 6 degrees in the northeast, 6 to 10 degrees elsewhere in the northern half and 8 to 14 degrees in the south, up to 13 to 16 degrees in Corsica. In the afternoon, we expect between 9 and 16 degrees in the northern half and 15 to 20 degrees in the south,” warns Météo France.
