Sixteen teams will feature on the Challenger Pro League starting grid on Friday, August 16.

The championship will take place in a regular phase of 30 days, at the end of which the first two teams in the ranking will be promoted to the Jupiler Pro League.

The clubs located between 3rd and 6th place will play play-offs, the winner of which will face the 3rd in the D1A playdowns, for a place among the elite.

The regular season will extend until Sunday April 20, before the promotion playoffs.

The six play-off days will take place from Thursday April 24 until Sunday May 25, which also corresponds to the end of the Jupiler Pro League season.

RWDM and Eupen were relegated from Jupiler Pro League to Challenger Pro League at the end of last season.

Lokeren-Temse and La Louvière were promoted there, while SL16 FC were relegated.

Ostend had saved itself sportingly, but the coastal club which will merge with Diksmuide and return to Flemish Nationale 3 was liquidated, which allowed Seraing (15th) to be saved on the green carpet.

In the playoffs, Kortrijk saved its place in JPL against Lommel.

The Pro League revealed the CPL schedule this Tuesday during a press conference in its headquarters in Diegem.
