Emotions remain strong in the Vosges. This Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the trial begins for the murder of little Rose-Izabela, whose body was discovered in a plastic bag, in Rambervillers. The accused, a 16-year-old teenager, appears before the Vosges juvenile court.

The child was found on April 25, 2023, with her naked body, in a plastic bag in an apartment in Rambervillers, a few hours after her parents reported her disappearance to the police. The accused, aged 15 at the time of the facts, admitted to having held the girl’s head underwater in the bathtub, during a reconstruction in June 2023.
The accused already convicted…
At the time, the teenager was under judicial supervision. He was arrested in 2022 for rape and sexual assault committed against two children, aged 11 and 12. One of the young victims said she had been kidnapped and raped by the defendant, and the second said she had been sexually assaulted.

In this case, the defendant was sentenced on March 18, 2024 to a three-year prison sentence, one of which was suspended, with a committal warrant. The court also banned him from staying in Rambervillers and from contacting minors. The teenager appealed.
…and targeted by a new complaint
Friday June 7, 2024, four days before the opening of the trial for the murder of little Rose-Izabela, the Epinal public prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation against the young man. It was a former classmate who filed a complaint for rape and sexual assault. According to his statements, the events took place in February 2022, at the suspect’s home, in Rambervillers.
