Last monththe remake of Until Dawn was released, but it received a mixed reception. With confusing graphics compared to the original released on PS4, this improved title using Unreal Engine 5 was not able to convince, especially since it runs at 30 fps. However, a significant update was recently rolled out, offering a performance mode to 60 fps on PS5 as well as other improvements.
The developers of Ballistic Moon announced that “Update 1.06 is now live for PS5! This major update fixes numerous reported issues and introduces long-awaited performance and fidelity modes for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. »
Although this update has not yet been released on PC, the teams are working on its expected arrival this week after some additional testing. Notable improvements include:
- Mode Performance
- Loyalty Mode
- Monitor change stand for PC
- Fixed antivirus interference with the game and crash reporter
- Fixed a crash occurring when pausing during pre-rendered videos
- Improvements to shader compilation speed
- Fix choppy pre-rendered videos
- Default Steam Deck quality adapted to the device
- Balance adjustments for high-performance sessions on PC and PS5
The full list of fixes is expanded, but some issues remain resolved. The developers have promised to address issues such as those related to FSR frame generation on NVIDIA 40 series graphics cards.

With Until Dawn being one of the few games released on PS5 by PlayStation without an option to 60 fpsthe introduction of a performance mode is warmly welcomed. The hope is that the game achieves a stable and smooth framerate.
